Yuba, Pasadena City, Mt. San Jacinto Jump in this Week's Poll
Pasadena has won 11 straight; Yuba is riding a 15-game win streak; MSJC is on a 7-game win streak
The CCCMBCA Top 30 undertook its biggest shake-up in weeks.
Yuba, winners of 15 straight, climbed to No. 5, using losses by East Los Angeles (to LA Harbor); San Jose City (to Monterey); and West Valley (to San Jose) to shoot up into the top 5. Sequoias, winners of 14 straight, moved to No. 6, with LA Harbor landing at No. 7, thanks to impressive wins after a disappointing loss to Pasadena. East Los Angeles, San Jose City and West Valley round out the top 10.
After beginning the season 6-6, Pasadena City has won 11 straight which helped move the Lancers to No. 13, a five-slot improvement. Mt. San Jacnto, however, was the poll's biggest mover, moving from No. 30 to No. 21 thanks to a 7-game win streak.
This week's poll features six Orange Empire Conference teams, three – Riverside, Santiago Canyon and Orange Coast — are all tied at No. 27. Cypress and Saddleback are No. 23 and No. 24, respectively. Fullerton, which holds a four-game lead in the race for the title, sits No. 1 followed by San Francisco City, Citrus and San Bernardino Valley.
Twenty days remain in the regular season. The next CCCMBCA poll will be conducted on February 13. Final poll, which be released on February 19, will be based off regional seedings.
